This is my latest creation.

It is a 35lb. portable electric underwater vacuum.

I call it my Electric Portable Anarchistic Vacuum, or, my

EPA Vacuum.

It is a 4700GPH (gallon-per-hour) electric bilge pump, attached to a PVC suction nozzle. The material is deposited into a 7 gallon bucket a few feet away via a 2 inch hose.

It is lightweight, compact, AND SILENT!

It all breaks down and fits into the 7 gallon gravel collection bucket (well, almost all of it. The hose doesn't fit.)

Take a look at my video and let me know what you think!

Sorry about the video not being 'streamable'.

You need to right click, and download it.(Save link as)

It is 59,000 KB.

Here is an image of it, that I extracted from the video.

Going to do another "field test" Monday or Tuesday on my Cobble claim.

I'll get a video of it too.

Hello Rich! I have a ? Why don't you have a helper and a longer/maybe if needed, hose, right into a sluice nearby...?

Or is that a "No-No"? lol

In the video I explain that I usually use a longer hose. But even still, I only use a 4 foot hose in real life. (The hose was shortened for the video, in order for everything to fit in the tub of water). Plus, the hose is expensive!

Yeah, outputing the gravel right into a sluce would be pushing it as far as 'dredging'.

By using the bucket, it makes it extremely portable. (Not limiting my work area to where a sluice or highbanker can be set up).

I was sucking the material into the bucket, and then dumping it into a black bin. My mining partner would then feed the highbanker from the bin while I went back to sucking up more material.

Twice I was able to fill the bucket faster than he could process the previous bucketload!

Rich, You do know the patch they put on the dredge ban makes any type of powered vacuum system a no no!! :( The stealth quality is nice though. ;)

Thanks for your input Steve.

I'll be sure to correct my behavior from now on.

I electrically assisted my Gold-N-Sand with a bilge pump, similar principle, but Steve is correct lol.
