I am from the the Bay Area, been in California all my life. I used to live up in the foothils, first in Weimar, then in Auburn, on Clipper Gap Rd, when I was a kid. Best time of my life. Rattle snakes and everything. My friends and I did just about everything a kid could do in the country. That was real freedom for me, no bills, no worries, just alot of dirt, hills, trees, and the train about 25 feet from my bedroom window. Our house used to be part of the old post office, like the hook house, where they would hang the mail bag. There was some history there, old rusty hobo shacks, it was cool. It was like our world, to do what ever we wanted to with, and we did. We built incredible forts, some were underground, BMX tracks and jumps. One time we enclosed this big area with dirt to shape it like a big pool, then we would just wait for the rain to fill it up, so we could jump our bikes into it. Don't know who's property it was, but it didn't matter then. Then there were no reasons to get in to trouble, we still caused our fair share, It was great fun! I am ready to get back to the country, make some new friends and find some gold. Did I mention I have never prospected before. I am serious about finding gold and as much of it as possible.
