I dig out a drop and break out a bit of bedrock to sample for gold
This has it all...pathos, humor and lots of gold
We hit the creek to test Ray's homemade large capacity classifier and then stop by his garage to see his standard size recirculating sluice project...Oh, and we got a little gold.
We got 7-8 inches of rain in the last 5 days. The drainages and dry creeks are now running so Wayne, Ray and I tried to sneak out between downpours.
It was a crazy week for Wayne and I. Tom was up from the bay area for a visit and the three of us managed to go out to get some "chunky gold" Then Pucky called to say the Australian Broadcast Corporation wanted to shoot a segment at his claim and we were needed to show American prospectors at work.
Only working the box for 4 hours this is what I ended up with from the Bear River. More then I have ever got before in just a short time.
Wayne and I do some crevice and crack cleaning at a new creek
Wayne found a rock unlike anything he has seen before. We will need help identifying its component minerals. Oh, and there is a short gold prospecting clip also.
