A visit from an old family friend nets gold for his 12 year old grandson

Wayne and I take his long time friend, John, on his second prospecting trip. We dig material from a dry streambed and take it back to my house for processing.

Wayne, Ray, John and I return to the dry streambed, dig some material and process it at Ray's house.

I saw a column of smoke and arrived at the scene of the fire before the firefighters.

I stop at the club claim to check on the progress of a couple of "early birds" prior to the club outing on Saturday. The gold speaks for itself and there are a couple of happy campers!

While helping some inexperienced prospectors, I hit a pocket of gold and then the fun starts...
